Vision and Purpose

What You Think You Become, What You Feel You Attract, What You Imagine You Create - Your Vision And Purpose In Life.

What do you want from your life, and why are you here? (your vision and purpose in life)…

Pretty deep, huh!

Well, let’s start with the first part of that question;

What do you want from your life?

Sadly, most people don’t have a clear vision of exactly what they aspire to in life.

The fact is; life is a journey and it will be over all to quickly, so if you don’t know exactly what you want to achieve, then how can you expect to achieve anything much before time runs out?

Actually, visioning is one of the most important and effective ways to achieve success in your life….
…. so what exactly is visioning?

Well, it is fixing a clear image deep in your mind of exactly what your perfect, fulfilled life would look like; giving you a clear destination.

Just by building your vision in your mind you will drive yourself onwards towards it….
… what does your ideal house look like?….
… where is it?…
… what about cars?…
… relationships?…
… family life?…
…etc…

As for the second part of that original deep question;

Why are you here?

Well, basically; we are born, we live our lives, we die, and we leave a legacy caused by our actions during our lifetime…
… so your purpose in life is to change the world in some way (however large or small) so that future generations will benefit from your life’s work.

Maybe, raising children to carry on your genetic line is enough for you, or maybe you are driven to become a multi-millionaire entrepreneur and create your legacy by supporting charities or improving the environment (like Richard Branson, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, etc.).

For most people, the their purpose lies somewhere between these extremes, but either way, you are here to ‘live your purpose’ and develop, not just your own life, but that of others around you too.

Your purpose is that one thing that you excel at an have a true passion for…
The Japanese define this the best; they call it your ‘Ikigai’…

Do you truly know what your greatest talent is?
Are you really passionate about it?
Is this what you are currently doing as your job?
Will it create your legacy to the world?

If the answer is ‘yes’ to all of the above, the you are truly fulfilled and you have found your ‘Ikigai’

Ikigai - The Japanese concept of true life vision and purpose.

According to the Japanese, everyone has an Ikigai. It is a concept meaning “a reason for being”.

Very few people ever truly discover their Ikigai, and in fact most people never really get close!

However, by improving self-awareness and dedicating one hour per day to thought, reflection, and self-improvement activities anyone CAN discover their true purpose in life and re-align accordingly…

…and don’t worry if you don’t really know your purpose at present; just understand that you do have one, and you just need to discover it!
